What did I work on?
During my 12-week internship, I collaborated closely with my manager and mentor on 2 major internal platforms:
Trust Org’s Documentation Management Tool
It’s an essential tool that used daily by more than 190 Autodesk employees in the Trust Organization.
Trust Org’s Portal Website
It’s accessible for all 17,000+ Autodesk employees to find any resources and support they need from the Trust Organization.
What did I achieve?
📈 Enabled more efficient workflows and enhanced collaboration for the daily work of documentation creators and readers
💪🏻 Empowered 17,000+ employees to access resources & support easier and faster through a consistent experience
👀 Established a recognizable, trustworthy, and adaptable visual identity for the Trust Organization
What do people say about me?
It's hard to put into words just how creative, talented, dedicated, and refined Sylvia is. Everything she created while interning at Autodesk was of the highest quality, was well thought out, kept the end user in mind, was consistent, imaginative, and absolutely beautiful. In the few months I had the honor of being her mentor, she designed awareness campaigns for a global audience of over 17k employees, and crafted designs to amplify and solidify the Trust (cybersecurity) Organization's brand and information architecture, all while creating a cohesive UX and intuitive UI. She left a lasting impression and set us up for continued to success.
But how do you capture the UX/UI design talents of someone like Sylvia through a written recommendation? If only I could show you. . . or better yet, she could show you herself as the next incredible addition to anyone's team.
Julia Welch
As Sylvia's manager during her internship, I appreciated her organization, efficiency, and exceptional design skills. Her intuitive, user-friendly, and well-crafted designs reflected her technical and creative abilities. Sylvia's adaptability, quick learning of new concepts, and timely delivery of innovative, high-quality work made her a valuable contributor to many projects.

Takeaways
Takeaway #1
🚀 Don't Be Afraid to Take Initiative & Ownership
It’s importance of stepping up and taking charge when opportunities arise. By proactively identifying design-solvable challenges, even outside my immediate scope, I was able to increase my impact and contribute in more significant ways.
Takeaway #2
🧩 Always Think Systematically
Throughout the project, I focused on ensuring that the design wasn't just a short-term solution but something that could evolve and scale as our org grew. By thinking systematically, I was able to create a framework that would support future development.
Takeaway #3
👂🏻 Don't Assume, Listen
During this internship, I was able to conduct interviews and facilitate workshops, which consistently revealed something new to me. These insights became the foundation for creating impactful designs that truly cater to users' needs.
